Commonly used landing pads are constructed of several layers of laminated foam glued together on top of a thin PVC base. The entire pad is then wrapped in a layer of vinyl pool liner material. Repeated impact results in a breakdown in the foam's density, causing the vinyl to peel away at the edges and cracks to form.
SlidePad™ is constructed of a thick, beveled edge dense foam base encapsulated in AquaChip™ pebbles.
During the AquaChip™ encapsulation process, these thermoplastic rubber (TPR) pebbles are chemically bonded to the foam base using a proprietary bonding adhesive. The thermoplastic rubber chips are then hermetically sealed with a clear chlorine-resistant flexible coating.
This proprietary process ensures that SlidePad™ remains not only chlorine-resistant, but also resistant to UV exposure and impervious to water as well as fungistatic and hygienic.
SlidePad™ is available in custom sizes, manufactured to customers' specifications. Standard 2" thick AquaticBlue color blend pads (as shown) in 3' x 5', 4' x 6' and 4' x 8' ship in 4 to 6 business days.
SlidePad™ can be custom designed with your water park's logo and/or color scheme as well as customized to any size or shape, even aquatic animals!
SlidePad™ has NO MOVING PARTS and will not crack, discolor, separate or lose foam compression despite repeated use. Installations requires NO BOLTS, FASTENERS OR METAL COMPONENTS of any kind, making SlidePad™ a safer landing pad for your water park guests.
